Georgia Mary Pegram

Mrs. Georgia Hiatt Pegram, 68, of Oak Ridge, NC unexpectedly passed away February 22, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. The daughter of the late George and Elma Mabe Hiatt, Georgia was a devoted homemaker and member of Stokesdale Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and church family. She also loved to cook, knit, garden, grow flowers, and feed the birds. In addition to her parents, Georgia is predeceased by a son Clarence Allen Gwyn, Jr. She is survived by her husband James Ray Pegram, children Ricky Allen Gwyn (Bev) of Walnut Cove, Crystal Gayle Smith (Timothy) of Stoneville, and James Ray Pegram, Jr. of Oak Ridge, sister Lucille Mabe of Lawsonville, brother George Hiatt of Meadows, 3 grandchildren Katie Moore (Ryan), Shane Solomon, and Brianna Solomon, and 1 great-grandson Perry Ray Moore. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Pegram is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Stokesdale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
