George William Moore

George William Moore, 84, of Statesville, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House.

Mr. Moore was born in Wilkes County on January 1, 1935 and was the son of the late James W. Moore and Gertie Greer Moore. He was a graduate of Mountain Crest School and in 1977 he married Jeanette Bennett Moore who preceded him in death.

Mr. Moore was employed with the state of North Carolina where he worked as a hearing officer for the traffic division.

Mr. Moore is survived by a brother, Rev. James Moore (Ruth) of Statesville along with three sisters, Mary Carter of Salisbury, Cory Curlee of Rockwell and Addie Marlow of Moravian Falls. He is also survived by a nephew Ronald D. Moore (Katie) of Statesville. He is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time.
