George Leo Pardue

George "Leo" Pardue, 84, of Statesville died Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Richmond County, NC on February 26, 1938, to the late David Pardue and Verna Holbrook Pardue. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jean Pardue, and a brother, Roger Pardue.

Leo worked for Statesville Chair for 28 years as an upholsterer and then owned Pardue Upholstery, working up until the time of his death. He loved fishing, gardening, and drives to the mountains with his wife and friends. One of his greatest joys was his dog, Buddy, who passed the same day as Leo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 67 years, Doris Lytton Pardue, son, Ricky Pardue and grandson, Evan Pardue.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Jason Bost and Tony Smith officiating.
