Gary Franklin Foster

Gary Franklin Foster, 84, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital, surrounding by his loving family.



Mr. Foster was born March 1, 1934 in Iredell County. He was the son of the late Roger and Juanita Lippard Foster. He was a graduate of Central School in Iredell County and was an electrician by trade, last working as an electrical estimator for Houston Electric in Mooresville. He was married to the late Barbara Ann Millsaps Foster, who passed away September 8, 2004.



He is survived by three children, Tommy Foster (Millie) of Statesville, Terri Nance of Mooresville, Johnny Foster (Kim) of Cleveland; three sisters-in-law, Susan Foster, Jean Harpe, and Sue Carter, all of Statesville, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Foster Keever and a brother, Jim Foster.



Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Reverend Phillip McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service and subsequently will gather at the residence of Mr. Foster in Mooresville.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Foushee, Dr. Deberardinis and the nursing staff at Iredell Memorial Hospital for all the attentive, loving care provided to Gary throughout his illness.
