Gary Dale Taylor

Dale Taylor, 58, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. He was born in Laurinburg, NC on July 28, 1959 to Howard Taylor and the late Addie Mae White Taylor. On September 1, 2001, he married Teresa Hobbs Taylor and together they were owner/operators of Carolina Comfort Heating & Air of Statesville, Inc. Dale Taylor was a father to so many. He was kind, loved to listen, and fix every problem anyone ever had. He spent his days with his wife by his side, trying to fix as many a/c units as he could in one day, never taking time off for himself because the people around him he loved so deeply. He started so many projects so his wife Teresa, daughters, Ashley & Mikayla, grandchildren, Emma & Jacob, and one expected in December along with so many more could forever live in the lap of luxury. He always would drop everything to help someone in need and made it his job to look after them. Before he passed he was able to spend his last hours doing what he loved, he got his last "fish-on" and his last ride in the sky. He will forever guide us in the right direction but from above. Fly high Dale, we love you! Along with his loving wife, Teresa, and his dad, Howard Taylor, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Taylor (Danny Proctor) and Mikayla Smith, two grandchildren, Emma Sheets, Jacob Taylor and one grandchild due in December. He is further survived by four sisters, Meshelle Dagenhart (Eric), Star Bradford (Keith), Rhonda Taylor and Sharon Long (Bill) and two brothers, Mike Taylor (Wanda) and Ronnie Taylor (Jayne), all of Statesville. A celebration honoring the life of Dale Taylor will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the home, 189 Mountain View Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
