Faye Setzer

Mrs. Faye Gordon Howie Setzer, 75, of Statesville, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at Autumn Care in Statesville. Mrs. Setzer was born August 16, 1937 in Charlotte and was the daughter of the late Whitson S. Howie and Ruby Davis Howie. She was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. Mrs. Setzer was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church and prior to her retirement, she worked as the Supervisor for the Iredell County Housing Authority. In addition to her husband Bill, Mrs. Setzer is survived by one daughter, Kelly Smith (Greg) of Gastonia, one step-daughter, Gail Parks (Robert) of Huntersville, three granddaughters, Kristin Smith, Rebecca Parks, Anita Parks and one grandson Clinton Parks. She is also survived by two sisters, Judy Tucker (Gary) of Midland and Kitty Noles of Huntersville along with one brother, Steve Howie (Carol) of Charlotte. Funeral services for Mrs. Setzer will be conducted at 3:00 pm Monday, July 29, 2013, at Sharon Lutheran Church with Pastor Darrell Norris officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery.
