Faye Louise Loyd

Faye Louise Wooten Loyd, 80, is home with her Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville, Saturday, September 19, 2015. Faye was born October 23, 1934 in Iredell County to the late Edgar and Annie Louise Howard Wooten. She was a homemaker who was known for her spotless home and her wonderful meals including her homemade biscuits and chocolate pies. She attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the food committee. Her pound cakes and vegetable salad were church favorites. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and always had a special place in her heart for their four legged family members who were always welcome in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Norris Loyd, Sr. on January 4, 2014. They were married on September 5, 1952.
