Everette Cornelius Campbell, of Statesville, a cherished father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 30, 2025, following an illness. He was born on October 4, 1932, in Alexander County, North Carolina, to Lex Gordon Campbell and Zelma Coffey Campbell.

Everette dedicated many years of his professional life as a machinist at JC Steele, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. An Army Veteran who served during the Korean War, he exemplified commitment and spirit both in his service and civilian life. His proudest accomplishment was his significant involvement in the Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle, where he played a key role in helping to build the church.

He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren, Junior Campbell, Michael Campbell (Beth), Johnny Nance (Tab), Craig Nance, Candace Hilton (Steven), Stephanie Martin, Jessica Christian (Miguel), Matt Campbell, and Ashley Campbell (Josh). His legacy continues through his twenty-four great-grandchildren, Angel, Josh, Josey, Noah, Nick, Lily, Alexis, Shyler, Chase, Westen, Ashleigh, Alexandria, Aria, Davian, Jocelyn, Miguel, Jr., Lilliana, Leo, Lila, Chloe, Jordan, Olivia, Colton, and Zayde, who will always remember their “Paw” fondly.

He is predeceased by his parents, Lex and Zelma, and several siblings: June Ann Munday, Betty Moore, Margaret Anderson, Nellie Anderson, Junior Campbell, Gary Campbell, Marshall Campbell, Jackie Campbell, and Nancy Dishman.
