Eva Mae Myers

Eva Mae Myers, 70, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the Gordon Hospice House. Ms. Myers was born in Iredell County on November 20, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Jesse Myers and Lottie Lambert Myers. She was a graduate of Iredell County schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union Grove. Ms. Myers was formerly employed with Laws Stained Glass as a window assembler. She is survived by one daughter, Renee R. Johnson (Dennis) of Statesville and one son, Johnny Roark, Jr of Harmony along with three granddaughters, Kelley Krider and Ashley Benfield, and Annamae Roark, all of Statesville and two grandsons, Lakota Goodwin of Jonesville and Ramzee Johnson of Statesville. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Eliana Readling and two brothers, Richard Myers (Claudia) of Harmony and James Myers (Michelle) of Statesville. Funeral services for Ms. Myers will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. J.R. Speece officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
