Ernest Tracy Anderson, 85, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Statesville. Mr. Anderson was born July 5, 1926 in Rowan County and was the son of the late Tracy Anderson and Lacy Marlow Anderson. He attended Rowan County Schools and on December 1, 1949, was married to Betty Jo Swicegood Anderson, who survives of the home. He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, worked for Southern Screw Co. for 20+ years and retired from John Boyle Co. after 18 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Johnson (Larry) of Statesville, Debbie A. Triplett (Jerry) of Statesville, two grandsons, Brian Johnson and Jeff Triplett both of Statesville, two step-great grandchildren, Ally and Cole, a number of nieces and nephews, a special great niece, Addison "Dumplin" and two sisters, Dorothy A. Warren and Wilma A. Swicegood, both of Statesville. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Barefoot and Rev. David Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home and at other times will assemble at the home of Larry and Carolyn Johnson. Active pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Jeff Triplett, Travis VanHoy, David Haynes, Chris Goforth and Ronnie Redmond.
