Eric Sloan Hayes

Eric Sloan Hayes, 49, of Statesville, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born in Iredell County on March 14, 1967 to the late Billy Rash Hayes and Shelbie Sloan Hayes. Eric attended North Iredell High School and worked in construction until an accident forced him to be disability retired. He was member of Hebron Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nicole Collins (Travis); two sons, Dillon and Andrew Hayes; granddaughter, Reece Collins; grandson River Collins; a sister, Jean Lundy (Brent); three brothers, Dwayne Hayes, Jeff Hayes (Teresa), and Neil Hayes; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 pm, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron Baptist Church, 175 Hebron Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
