Eric Neal Bowles

Union Grove- Mr. Eric Neal Bowles, 75, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2019 with his wife by his side.

Born on October 2, 1943 in Iredell County, he was the son to the late Lex and Sybil Mayberry Bowles. Eric was a lifelong member of Taylor Springs Baptist Church and retired from the City of Statesville after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, old cars, red belly tractor and traveling, especially to the beach.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Lowell G. Bowles and Bryon B. Bowles.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 31 plus years, Margaret Ann Bowles; daughter, Jessica Wilhelm; grandson, Wesley Neal; sister, Candace Bowles; brothers-in-law, Bill (Libby) Jarvis and Wayne (Bobbie) Jarvis; sisters-in-law, Gradie Miller and Irene (Marvin) Gryder and many other loving family members.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11 am at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gwaltney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will gather and receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Nicholson Funeral Home and from 10:30-11am Friday, September 27, 2019 at the church prior to the service.

The family would like to thank Valley Nursing Home for all the love, support and care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flower memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund of Taylor Springs Baptist Church,443 Taylor Springs Road, Union Grove, North Carolina 28689.
