Elsie Mae Dixon

Elsie Mae Dixon, 88, of Statesville, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Elsie Mae was born March 11, 1922 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Elcie Lee Dixon and Grace Haithcox Dixon. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents, Elsie Mae was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Dixon, Elmer Lee Dixon, Rev. Wayne Dixon, John Ray Dixon and one sister, Ruth Dixon Keever. Elsie Mae is survived by two sister-in-laws, Nancy Dixon, Dorothy Dixon, both of Statesville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011 in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Brad Mullis officiating.
