Ella Marie Cleary

Ella Marie Dishmond Cleary, 88, of Hamptonville, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1928 to the late Preston and Isadora Wilcox Dishmond. Mrs. Cleary attended Iredell County Schools and was married to Fred Ray "Jim" Cleary who preceded her in death in 2004. She was retired from Carolina Mills and was a member of Redemption Baptist Church. Mrs. Cleary was known for her biscuits and chicken dumplings. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. Along with her parents and husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph; four brothers; and two sisters Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Dean Cleary and John Cleary (Lavada); a daughter, Betty C. Wike (Bob); five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service.
