Eddie Lancaster

Eddie O'Neal Lancaster, 62, of Salisbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2013 at his home. Mr. Lancaster was born October 7, 1950 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Clyde Lancaster and Evelyn Pauline Rimmer Lancaster. He attended Iredell County schools and he was married to Jenna Tevepaugh Lancaster, who preceded him in death. Mr. Lancaster was of the Baptist faith and prior to his disability retirement, he was employed with Carpet Rentals where he worked as a distributor. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Lancaster was also preceded in death by one son, Neal Lancaster, three brothers, Melvin Lancaster and twin brothers, Cletus and Clifton Lancaster along with one sister, Tyann Lancaster Kuhnemann. He is survived by his son, Jason Lancaster (Holly) and their children, Lauren and Madison; daughter, Tammy Lancaster and her children, Alexis and Laci; Brian Thomas (Heather) and their children, Zachary and Chandler and Ricky Thomas (Mary) and daughter Haley. He is also survived by two sisters, Sherry and Brenda Lancaster and three brothers, Russell (Vicki), Hubert (Gaynell) and Denny (Pat) Lancaster. He is further survived by special friend and companion Doris Poteat along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Lancaster will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rob Waugh officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.
