Dr. Pam Nicholson

Dr. Pamela Bond Nicholson, 50, of Statesville, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 2, 2013. Dr. Nicholson was born July 16, 1963 in Massena, NY to Beryl Wirths Bond and the late Norman Tuttle Bond. She attended Hamilton College in Clinton, NY where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with her BS in Biology. She subsequently attended Duke University Medical School, where she met the love of her life, John Christie Nicholson. They were married in Massena on July 9, 1988 while completing their medical doctoral degrees. They moved to Iowa City to complete their residency and begin a family living in Iowa, the Dominican Republic, North Carolina, and Vermont. An avid musician and loving mother, Pam's quirky sense of humor and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
