Doris Jean Hill Brooks

Doris Jean Hill Brooks, age 82, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Lexington Health Care Center. Born on July 26, 1940, in Caldwell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Wade Hill and Onnie Marybell Hill.

In addition to her parents, Roy and Onnie Hill, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Charles Henry Brooks; her son, Michael Neally; her grandson, Dean Anthony Dimery; great-grandsons, Travis Dean Dimery and Tyler Gene Dimery; and sister, Dorothy Jane Radcliff.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patricia Dimery; stepdaughter, Susan Brooks; grandchildren, Onnie Marie Neally, Cheyenne Neally, Dakota Neally, and James Dimery; step granddaughter, Megan McNair; great-grandchildren, James Andrew Dimery, Brandon Dorsey Dimery, Tripp Dimery, Dwight Lee Dimery, Gunner Berry, Amelia Diane Berry, Nova Rae Berry, Aiden Neally, Sterling Evans, and Sophia Ann Neally; step great-grandchildren, Fallon Walser and Harper Rose Walser; and her daughter-in-law, Angela Neally.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 193 Bethany Rd., Lexington, NC. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
