Doris Hines Martin

Mrs. Doris Hines Martin, 94, of Stony Point, passed away peacefully at Gordon Hospice House on January 13, 2020.

Born on October 20, 1925 in Alexander County, she was the daughter of the late Derr Lynn and Grace White Hines. Mrs. Martin was an active member of Concord Presbyterian Church and was a retired Legal Administrative Assistant.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her husband of 66 years, Mr. N. Kester Martin of the home; son, Warren "Corky" Martin of Atlanta, Ga; daughter, Janet Grace Martin of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Daniel Schopler of Huntersville, NC and Justin Schopler of Cary, NC; sister, Frankie Hines Joyce and her husband and many other loving family members.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Concord Presbyterian Church with Pastor Liz Troyer officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will gather and receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iredell County Hospice and Palliative Care, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625
