Donna Cagle

Mrs. Donna McLain Cagle, 51, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, January 01, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cagle was born September 30, 1961 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Jimmie McLain, Sr. and Brenda Kilpatrick McLain. She attended Iredell County schools and on June 23, 1979 she married Mitchell Cagle, who survives. Mrs. Cagle was employed with J.R. Tobacco as a sales associate and she was of the Methodist Faith. Along with her parents, Mrs. Cagle was also preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents. In addition to her husband Mitchell, she is survived by one son, Samuel Cagle of the home, one brother, Jimmie McLain, Jr, one sister, Tammy McLain and an uncle, Tony McLain (Darlene), all of Statesville. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Jackie Cagle and a close family friend, Adam McElfresh along with numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Donna Cagle will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Lee officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 until 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
