Diane Baker

Carol Diane Baker, 63, of Statesville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Ms. Baker was born May 23, 1947 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late John Donald Baker, Sr. and Peggy Gatton Baker. She was a graduate of Cabarrus County schools and she was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Baker was formerly employed with Hunt Mfg. where she worked as a packer. In addition to her parents, Ms. Baker was also preceded in death by one brother, John Donald Baker, Jr. Ms. Baker is survived by one sister, Shelby Garrity along with a nephew, John C. Garrity, both of Statesville. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel.
