Dennis Arthur Lebrasseur

LEXINGTON-Mr. Dennis Arthur LeBrasseur, 69, of Lexington, NC passed away March 8, 2021 at his residence. Dennis met the love of his life, Stacey Elizabeth who was tricked into thinking he was a kind and compassionate man, boy was she ever wrong. What's not to love about a man who loved his family and friends almost as much as he loved the Minnesota Vikings and Gophers, cold beer (brought to him by his wife Stacey), cold drinks (made by his wife Stacey), smoking and westerns. Dennis loved to cook, golf and play poker. You could often find him frequently at his niece and nephews playing poker, swimming, drinking and joking. Mr. LeBrasseur was born February 12, 1952 in Cloquet, MN to the late Arthur Joseph and Audrey Melin LeBrasseur and in 1985 married his beautiful wife Stacey Elizabeth. He was born in Minnesota, but his heart was in the South. Dennis proudly served our country and retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service and retired again from the N.C. Department of Corrections following another 25 years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. LeBrasseur is preceded in death by brothers Jerry and Jeffery LeBrasseur, and step-brother Bruce Maier. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 35 years Stacey LeBrasseur, children Candace LeBrasseur and Dennis S. LeBrasseur, both of Orlando, FL, three grandchildren Jonathan, Elizabeth and Zachary, three sisters Jeanne DeLargaza (John) of Irving, TX, Bonnie Newton of Cloquet, MN, and Kathy Smith of Fayetteville, NC, sister-in-law Vickie Garrison (Lonnie), two brothers-in-law Dr. Lee Clark of Anniston, AL and David Clark (Sandra) of Arkansas City, KS, numerous nieces and nephews, and canine companion Tilly. A memorial service with military honors for Mr. LeBrasseur will be held at 3:00 pm Friday March 12, 2021 at Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. All attendees are encouraged to observe precautionary measures regarding COVID-19 potential.
