David Wilhelm

David Wayne Wilhelm, 55, of Statesville, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2012. David was born on June 27, 1957 to Virgina Lucille Williams and the late Claywell Clement Wilhelm. Mr. Wilhelm attended Iredell County Schools and retired as a supervisor for the Water Dept. of the City of Statesville after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Word of Truth Assembly. David will be remembered as a loving, caring father who raised his children himself. He lived for his children and participated in every activity of their lives. He lived his life for others and exemplified how a Christian man should live. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Justin Wayne Wilhelm (Jessica) and Spenser Chance Wilhelm, both of Statesville; one daughter, Krystal Nevada Wilhelm, of the home; and one godson, Chris Ayers, of Statesville. He is further survived by three brothers, Dennis Wilhelm (Rebecca), James Scott Wilhelm, both of Newton; and Billy Ray Wilhelm (Bonnie), of Conover. He is also leaves his special pet "Puppy" that adored him. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilhelm will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Rocky Hill Baptist Church, 823 Mountain View Rd., Statesville, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Franklin Miller. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, Sept. 4, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
