David "Ray" Anderson

David “Ray” Anderson, 74 of Harmony, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

He was born in Mecklenburg County on September 13, 1949, to the late Sylvester B. Anderson and Betty Lou Page Anderson.

Ray graduated from North Iredell High School and served in the US Army. He retired from Clark-Hurth and later worked for Walmart where he retired again. He loved golf, had enjoyed playing softball in his earlier years, and loved living in the Harmony community. More than anything, he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Christine Joyner Anderson, daughter, Lisa Anderson, son, Eric Anderson (Amanda), grandchildren, Michaela VanDorn (Brock), Duncan Holzworth (Laekan), Josie Anderson, Erica Anderson, Brodie Anderson, great-grandchildren, Oakley, Jacey, Briar, Sailor, Finnick, Everest, a brother, Bobby Anderson (Edna), two sisters, Patricia Butler (Robert), and Marlene Hutchens (Dan), a brother-in-law, Eddie Joyner, and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at Charity Bible Church with Pastor Brian Sipes officiating. The family will visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
