Darrell Wayne Barksdale

Darrell Wayne Barksdale, 87 of Statesville, died Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

He was born in Guion, Arkansas on September 6, 1936, to the late Stanley Barksdale and Rubye Haskett Barksdale Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bellva Pinkerton Barksdale and his brother Brian Barksdale.

Darrell enjoyed reading, watching tv, fishing, and traveling in his motorhome.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Michelle Stevens of Statesville, and Jan Rodriguez (Rex Ferguson) of Cistern, TX, four grandchildren, Shannon Stevens, Timothy Stafford, Erica Walker (Alex), Lindsey Stevens, a brother, Buddy Barksdale (Karen), and a sister, Clysta Plumberg (Dave).

Private services will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
