Darlene Proffitt

Darlene Privette Proffitt, 50, of Statesville passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Iredell County on December, 14, 1964 to the late Pete and Olla Mae Parker Privette. Darlene attended Iredell County Schools and was of Baptist Faith. She had worked at Statesville Sportswear but was a homemaker most of her life and took pride in taking care of her family. On January 20, 1997, she married Carl Frederick Proffitt, Sr., who survives. Mrs. Proffitt is survived by her husband, Carl; one son, Carl Ray Proffitt; two step-sons, Carl DeWayne Proffitt and Carl Frederick Proffitt, Jr.; and a step-daughter, Reanna Forest. She is further survived by two sisters, Wanda Jones and Jennifer White; a brother, Ricky Privette; two nieces; and two nephews. Funeral services for Darlene will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
