Danny Redmond

Danny Phillip Redmond, 56 of Statesville, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Redmond was born December 6, 1954 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Phillip L. Redmond and Loretta P. Redmond. He is a graduate of Iredell County schools and he was previously employed with Hunt Mfg. and Thonet Industries for many years as a lead supervisor. Mr. Redmond is survived by his wife in heart, Vickie Rufty of Statesville; two daughters, Dana Price of Statesville and Amy Gourley of Hiddenite. He is also survived by a son, Kaylem Carter of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Patty Lanier and her husband, Sidney of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother, Ricky Redmond of Statesville; three grandsons, Justin, Jeremy, and Zane along with three granddaughters, Lily, Isabell, and Era. A nephew, Dustin Redmond and a niece, Allison Lanier also survive. A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 pm Sunday, June 26, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. Shirley Lanier officiating. A visitation will follow the memorial services at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
