Daniel Young

Mr. Daniel Richard Young, 64, of Statesville, entered his heavenly home Saturday, April 12, 2014. Mr. Young was born August 18, 1949 in Catawba County and was the son of the late Gomer Richard Young and Mary Moose Young. He was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School, class of 1969 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On March 14, 1970, he was married to Kathy Stewart Young, who survives of the home. He was a member of Fern Hill Baptist Church, an avid farmer and especially loved spending time with his three grandsons. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Wendy Hensley (Teddy) of Statesville, Tracy Collins (Adrian) of Mooresville; one son, Richard Alan Young and fianc
