Daniel Bolt

Daniel Lawson Bolt, 67, of Statesville, passed away Monday, He was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Mr. Bolt worked with Statesville Fixture and Landmark and retired from Blanton and Moore. He was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and was an Eagle Scout of Troop 4. He was part of a team that built bookcases for the Library of Congress in Washington DC. Daniel was also an artist and enjoyed expressing his work in painting portraits along with fly fishing. Mr. Bolt is survived by two daughters Debra L. Bolt-Rust (Randall) and Sandra L. Bolt-Rayboun (David), both of Tallahassee, FL. He is also survived by four grandchildren Samuel, Gabriel, Mary Ruth and Charles Rust. He is further survived by a brother Charles "Buddy" Bolt, of Statesville. A graveside service for Mr. Bolt will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, PO Box 943, Statesville, NC 28677.
