Dana Rene Barfield

Mrs. Dana Rene Combs Barfield, 57, of Statesville, passed away, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Mrs. Barfield was born May 7, 1961 in Iredell County and was the daughter of Joan Towell Combs and the late Daniel Miles Combs, who passed away May 11, 2016. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School and was previously employed by Petco Sackner. On June 30, 1990, she married Rodney Earl Barfield and she loved shopping with her mom, reading and decorating her house for all seasons.



In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Ashely Barfield Hinson (Christopher) of Statesville, one sister, Lori Nottelmann of Statesville, one nephew, Donald Nottelmann of Statesville and a brother-in-law, Dennis Lee Barfield of Savannah, GA.



A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, July 15, 2018 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.nicholsonfunerals.com
