Dan Tyson Holden

Dan Tyson Holden, 32, of Statesville, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Mecklenburg County on February 16, 1984 to the late Ernest Paul Holden and Carol King Campbell, who survives. Dan attended Mecklenburg County Schools and had worked at Pierre Foods as a warehouse worker. He was of Baptist faith and loved working on small engines earning him the title of "scooter man." Any free time was spent fishing which was his passion. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Carol; stepfather, Stuart Campbell, both of Statesville; a brother, David King (Valerie) of Charlotte; three sisters, Dana Holden (Carlos Jordan) of Statesville, Sandra Wright of Iron Station, and Rebecca Alexander (Troy) of Huntersville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. A Memorial Service for Dan will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Fox officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
