Clyde William Moore

Mr. Clyde William Moore, 90, of Statesville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Moore was born October 21, 1926 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Clarence and Nonnie Daniels Moore. He attended Scotts school and is married to Jo Rollins Moore, who survives. He worked and retired from Southern Screw after 31 years. He loved flying, working on tractors and lawn mowers and in his earlier years enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife of 36 years, he is survived by two daughters, Claudia Green (Chuck) of Clemmons, Julia Moore of Asheville, two grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Green, a special step-daughter, Debbie Luckadoo (Earl Blanton) of Statesville, one brother, Harold Moore of Mississippi, one sister, Doris Scanlon of Texas, one sister-in-law, Linda Moore of Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his first wife, Katie Hall Moore and two brothers, Rayford Moore and Glenn Moore. Graveside funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, 23, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will speak with friends following the service and at other times will assemble at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County and the family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sholar, Dr. Schlesinger, and everyone at Hospice for their extra care and support.
