Clyde Franklin Campbell, Jr., 65, of Harmony, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 7, 1950 to the late Clyde F. Campbell and Pauline Harris Campbell, who survives. Mr. Campbell attended Harmony High School and on June 27, 1969 married Mary Rosalie York, who survives. They had over 46 years of marriage before his passing. He served his country honorably in the National Guard. He was retired from Dana Corporation where he worked as a machine operator. Clyde was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. "My Dad was known for his love of growing tomatoes and taking them to all his friends and neighbors. One of the best joys of his life was his grandson, Caleb. He was a wonderful Paw Paw and a loving and helpful Dad. We will see you in heaven. We will love you always." Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosalie two daughters, Debra Shular (Stan) of Mocksville and Kelly Campbell of Harmony; a grandson, Caleb Trimnal of Mocksville; a sister, Paulette Trivette of Harmony; and his uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Winthrop Friends Meeting with Rev. John Whalen and Rev. Bobby Henderson officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by North Iredell American Legion Post 113 will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Todd Cranfill, Caleb Trimnal, Stan Shular, Kent Blackwelder, Eddie Campbell, and William York. The family will visit with friends prior to the service at Winthrop Friends Meeting from 1:30 until 2:30 PM.
