Clyde "Bud" Henderson Williams, 80, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born on November 20, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Clyde H. Williams Sr. and Virginia Kahn Williams Sullivan. Mr. Williams was a graduate of Jacksonville City Schools and attended Jacksonville University for two years. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. He was married to Cindi Turnquist Williams, who survives. He worked in construction for 45 years and was retired from the Department of Correction where he served as a Corrections Officer in Taylorsville. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cindi; a daughter Wendy Landry (Rob); a step-son, Todd Donahue; a granddaughter, Logan Landry; a grandson, Carson Landry; two cousins, Mike Williams and Kay Ward (Larry).; Betty, his Boston terrier that he adored, and his faithful companions, his cats, Baby and Junior. No formal services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the Humane Society of Iredell, 110 Robinson Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.
