Claudia Marie Myers

Mrs. Claudia Marie Mills Myers, 94, of Statesville, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, at Autumn Care in Statesville. Mrs. Myers was born in Iredell County on March 16, 1921, and was the daughter of the late William Claude and Etha Marie Allie Mills. She attended Statesville High School and she was married to Edgar Perry Myers, who preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Myers was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. She was the owner\operator of Hiddenite Fashions. Claudia enjoyed gardening but especially loved her family and her K-9 companion "Sammy". In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Lee Myers and his wife Brenda Myers, a son-in-law, Ray McCoy, along with two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son, Randy Myers (Sandra) of Statesville, and three daughters, Sandra M. Lambert (Thad) of Taylorsville, Terry M. McCoy and Karen M. Little (Charlie), both of Statesville, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Claudia Myers will be conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Duncan officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robby McCoy, Jason and Josh Little, Keith Gilleland, and Randall and Andy Myers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jody Myers.
