Claude Larry "Snake" Miller

Mr. Claude Larry "Snake" Miller, 80, of Statesville, passed away, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Mr. Miller was born October 26, 1937 in Alexander County and was the son of the late Claude Ritzel and Elsie Miller Wilcox (Sherman Wilcox). He attended Monticello Schools and on April 24, 1971, he married Marie Anderson "Bossie" Miller in York, SC. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and was retired from Bell & Howard Chevrolet.



In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by one son, Christopher T. Miller of Statesville, two daughters, Amy M. Cosey (David) of Statesville, Tori Bass (Derrick) of Statesville, eight grandchildren, Dakota Miller, Joseph Cosey, Noah Cosey, John Cosey, Sean "Frog" Bass, Montana Bass, Colt Bass, Gage Bass all of Statesville; three sisters, Jeanette Miller Warren, Renae Parker (Claymon), Sharon Burgess (Rick), four sister-in-laws, Doris Triplett (James), Barbara "Cricket" Barnette (Ed), Peggy Anderson, Patsy Burnette (Raymond), one brother-in-law, Harold "Hammer" Anderson (April) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Roger Wilcox and a brother-in-law, Clyde Warren.



Memorial services will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends following the service. The family request casual or camouflage attire.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House or to Nicholson Funeral Home c/o of Larry Miller's funeral bill. The family will assemble at the home of Tori and Derrick Bass.



The family would like to give a special thanks to Terry and Ann Dehart, Jim Miller, Dan McKinny and Todd Padgett for their love and support.
