Clara Leona Williams

Mrs. Clara Leona Spann Williams, 77, of Statesville, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at her home. Born in Iredell County on July 18, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Buford G. Spann and Alma F. Gryder Spann. Clara enjoyed being with her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. She graduated from Statesville High School and retired from Hunt Manufacturing after 20 years. She then later retired from Dana Corp. from management in the shipping department. Survivors include her son, William Keith Murdock and his wife, Angela (Missy) of Statesville , a grandchild, Emily Nicole Murdock and a sister, Mary Hedrick. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Blaine Keaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
