Cynthia Gene Hines Nash, 55, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at her home. She was born November 11, 1955 in Iredell County and was the daughter of Gene Hines and Sue Sharpe Hines. She was a graduate of South Iredell High School and attended Catawba Tech. and Career Beauty School. On December 30, 1983, she married Kirby Nash, who survives. Mrs. Nash was a member of Circle L Cowboy Church in Elmwood where she taught Sunday school class. She was a member of the Hearers, Believers, and Doers Group with Pressly Memorial ARP Church. She was employed with Triangle Insurance Co. where she worked as a commercial insurance agent. Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Rankin and a niece, Heather Hines. In addition to her parents, Gene and Sue Hines and husband Kirby Nash, she is also survived by one son, Chesley Nash (Katie Gibson) of Statesville, one brother, Jimmy Hines (Amye); one sister, Carol Mason (Clark); one brother-in-law, Harvey Rankin (Lynn). She is also survived by two nephews Jesse Hines (Melissa) and John Mason along with two nieces, Jenny and Jessica Mason, all of Statesville. She is further survived by a great nephew, Mason Day and all her critters that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Pharr officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Circle L Cowboy Church, 190 Long View Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
