Christopher Brian Myers

January 8, 1965 — September 24, 2021

Christopher Brian Myers, 56, of Thomasville, NC, a brave warrior in his gallant battle against cancer, won his ultimate reward on Friday, September 24, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was a staunch opponent for more than five years, defying many odds through God's grace, sheer determination, and unwavering support of his family. Chris was born on January 8, 1965, in Thomasville, NC, to Jerry Lee Myers and Janice Tuttle Morris. He was a 1983 graduate of East Davidson High School. After graduation, he worked in several trade industry positions. However, his childhood love for competition, from motocross racing to big wheel mud bogging, fueled him to pursue a career of more than 30 years working in NASCAR's top three series. From the early days of mounting tires for Hoosier and Goodyear, to working the pit crews as a gas man, his true passion became working in the fabrication side of the industry. Chris worked to become a well-respected "bodyhanger" in the industry. He took pride in his work and in mentoring others to learn the ropes of the trade, especially his baby brother Jon. Chris rounded out his career working in the truck series for HRE Racing in Mooresville, NC. On April 5, 2014, he married the love of his life, Crystal Brown Myers, who survives of the home. Her love and support throughout his battle was a selfless example of compassion and commitment. Her advocacy and voice for Chris was incredible. She, along with their furry children, Sissy and Bubby, will always cherish the time they spent together as a family. Also surviving are mother and step-father, Janice and Larry Morris, and father and step-mother, Jerry and JimAnna Myers, sister Janet Myers Cain, husband Kenneth, brother, Jonathan Wesley Myers, wife Heather, all of Thomasville; step-brother Wayne Morris, wife Lisa, of Mooresville; nieces Amber Roberts of Thomasville and Rebekah Byrd of Roanoke, VA, and nephews Alex Byrd, wife Courtney, and Adam Myers, all of Thomasville. The family invites his friends and former coworkers to join them on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life service. It will be held on the family farm, Secret Meadows at Green Dell Farm, 845 Sullivan Rd, Thomasville, NC. Memorials may be made to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, or the charity of one's choice. B&B Cremation and Funeral Services is assisting the family during this time.
