Christopher Anthony Novelli

Mr. Christopher Anthony Novelli, 59, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 28, 2017. Mr. Novelli was born May 27, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Phillip Rodney and Maria Taranto Rodney. He was a graduate of Grady Vocational School in Brooklyn, NY and is married to Christine H. Novelli. He was an electrical engineer for Con-Edison in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Statesville in 1998. Christopher was a loving husband and father and enjoyed helping others especially helping on the Warren Family Farm. He was a true "Jack of all Trades" and loved fishing, hunting and flying. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Erica Lynn Murphy and son-in-law, Michael of Apex, NC; one grandson, Michael John Murphy, Jr., his very best friend, Michael Warren and his family, and one sister, Kathleen Rodney. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Otis Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends at 6:30 Tuesday at Nicholson Funeral Home.
