Charlie Fay Collie

Mrs. Charlie Fay Collie, 94, of Statesville, died Sunday at Heritage Place of Statesville. Born in Iredell County on July 11, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Robert Loyd Murdock and Ida Plyler Murdock.

She married Rev. Earl Collie on September 22, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lena L. Murdock. Mrs. Collie was an office manager and bookkeeper for the Virginia United Methodist Pension Fund. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her friends and caregivers, Bob and Sharon Raczynski. Also, a thank you to her caregivers, Kay Asbury and Cynthia Gillespie and the staff at Heritage Place and Hospice Of Iredell.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Mary John Dye officiating. Friends will gather for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
