Charles Eugene Blalock

Charles Eugene Blalock, age 63, of Denton, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, in the care of Hospice of Davidson County and the loving staff of Piedmont Crossing Retirement Community in Thomasville. Born of August 12, 1959, in Montgomery County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Robert Blalock and Dessie Mae Hyatt Blalock.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert (Peanut) Blalock, Ronnie Blalock, & Debbie Sue Saunders. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Beulah Blalock; son, Bryan Kelly Blalock and his wife, Bridget Blalock, and their son, Jacob Kelly Blalock and their daughter, Lilly Rayne Blalock; son, Justin Charles Blalock and his wife, Loeva Blalock, and their son, Logan James Blalock; son, Wesley Logan Blalock and his wife, Whitney Blalock, and their daughter, Kelsea Dianne Blalock; his sister, Pansy Valk and her husband, Terry Valk.

He was a career truck driver and worked for Old Dominion Freight Line for little over 30 years, winning numerous truck driving championships and other awards for safe driving. He was a deeply religious man who loved his family and especially his numerous grandchildren whom he was very proud of. In his spare time, he could be found fishing with his close friends and loved ones and telling stories of his time on the road and his childhood.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodsmen of The World Building in Denton on Sunday, January 15th at 2pm. Flowers can be delivered to 1903 Mose Glover Rd. Denton, NC 27239.
