Charles Edward Prichard

Charles "Paw" Edward Prichard, 77, of Statesville, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Mr. Prichard was born in Gregoryville, KY on August 23, 1941 and was the son of the late Warnie Prichard and Cordia Shears Prichard. He was a graduate of Prichard High School.



He was married to Donna Jane Griffith Prichard who preceded him in death.



Mr. Prichard served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart where he was recognized for his bravery at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center in Fort Lee, VA. Following his active service, he worked as a cook with various restaurants.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Key, James Dewey and Wesley Prichard.



Left to cherish his memory is his companion Barbara Key of Statesville along with three sons, William & Lisa Griffith and their daughter Hallie, John & Brenda Prichard and their children, Tiffany, Donna, and Jonathan, Jim Prichard, all of KY and Charles Lee & Ruth Prichard and their children Morgan, Jeremiah and Charles, of OH.



Funeral services honoring the life of Paw Prichard will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 20 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in the in the National Cemetery in Salisbury at 2:00 PM.
