Catherine Louise Elmore

Mrs. Catherine Louise Benge Elmore, 73, of Statesville, died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at her home. Born in Iredell County on July 23,1945, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Benge and Bertie Roseman Benge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Grover Elmore.



Mrs. Elmore worked in the bake shop of K & W Cafeteria and graduated from Celeste Henkel School. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.



Survivors include her children: Lynne Elmore Thomas of the home, Wayne Elmore of Statesville and Cathy Elmore of Georgia. Also surviving are three sisters, Doris Evans of Statesville, Frances Roseman of Mooresville and Glenda Kelley of Statesville. Additional survivors include her grandchildren: Damian Earl Ikard, Toneeka Chandra Reid, Michael Aaron Elmore and Emily Nichole Elmore along with great grandchildren: Pai'ence Uneek Louise Connor and Dante Desean Reid.



Services celebrating Mrs. Elmore's life will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Monday, November 19, 2018 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J.B. Parker, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
