Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Williams Johnson, 79, of Union Grove, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at her home following an extended illness. Born December 4, 1932 in Bennettsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Rosella Lambert Williams. She was a graduate of South Carolina Schools and she was married to James Earl Johnson, Sr. who preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson was a retired Church of God minister. In addition to her husband she is also preceded in death by one son, James Earl Johnson, Jr. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Hales (Roger) of Newport, NC and Donna Lynn Lunsford (Dwayne) of Union Grove and one son, Tommy Lee Johnson (Betty) of Pink Hill, NC. She is also survived by six grandsons, Christopher Michael Johnson, Tommy Lee Johnson, II (Donna), Joseph Hales, Brian Hales (Tabatha), Caleb Lunsford and Joshua Lunsford along with four granddaughters, Holly Johnson Lewis (Jan), Pamela Sheree Jackson (Rodney), Jaime Johnson and Hannah Lunsford. She is further survived by great grandchildren, Bailey Lewis, Cody Lewis, Elizabeth Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Brody Jackson, Michael Johnson, Brian Johnson, Katy Hales, Haley Hales, Kimberly Hales, Andrew Hales and Tyler Hales and one great-great granddaughter, Makinzie Hales. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, September 28, 2012,in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Albertino and Rev. Jeff Goudelock officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 until 8:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
