Carolyn Summers

Mrs. Nancy Carolyn Allen Summers, 74, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Summers was born July 26, 1939 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late James "Jim" Allen and Effie Alma Combs Allen. She was a graduate of Harmony High School and had worked at Iredell Memorial Hospital. On May 29, 1999, she was married to Larry Wilson Summers, who survives of the home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Barbara A. Jordan of Statesville, Jayne A. Moose, of Statesville and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude and Frank Allen. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
