Carolyn Nicholson Robinson

April 15, 1929 — May 20, 2018

On May 20, 2018 Margaret Carolyn Mills Nicholson Robinson went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born on April 15, 1929, daughter of the late Haskell and Wilma Hedrick Mills. Carolyn was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than being surrounded by those she loved and she often took comfort in reminiscing about fond family memories. She loved to sing, and in her younger years, shared her gift of music as a soloist in her church and community, always giving God the honor and glory for her talent. Her appreciation of music was handed down and shared with her family. She was a member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Statesville. As her eyesight began to fail, she enjoyed listening to Her Bible and being a prayer warrior for others. Well done good and faithful servant.

On March 14, 1954, Carolyn married Henry Monroe Nicholson. She married her second husband Henry Robinson on July 4, 1975. Both preceded her in death as did a son, Middleton Nicholson (Middy).

She is survived by her sister, Sarah (Sally) Bonar (Challen) of Fort Mill, SC, her Daughter, Lori Overcash (Kelly) of Statesville, her step daughter, Lynda Johnson (Larry) of Statesville, three granddaughters; Carobeth Tucker (Lucas) of Raeford, NC, Brady Emma Overcash, and Leah Grace Overcash of the home, one grandson; Leslie Overcash (Amanda) of Statesville, and one great grandson; Luke Tucker. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends that were dear to her heart..
