Carolyn Land Anderson

June 3, 1950 — August 21, 2023

Carolyn Paulette Land Anderson, 73 of Taylorsville, died Monday, August 21, 2023, at Catawba Valley Regional Medical Center.


She was born on June 3, 1950, in Iredell County to the late Paul Walker and Gladys Land Jarvis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Anderson, Sr., and a daughter, Cathy Baker.

Carolyn loved to read the Bible and listen to gospel music. She also loved family events, animals, and shopping, especially shopping in thrift stores.


Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Robert Clarkson, and two other children, a sister, Brenda Jarvis, nephew, Jason Shook (Heather), niece, Deanna Presnell (Justin), other family members, and her fur baby, Angel.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wesley Rexrode officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.


Pallbearers will be Jason Shook, Matthew Presnell, Justin Presnell, Zion Barber, Robert Clarkson and Justin Ray.
