Carolyn Joyce Grubb

Carolyn Joyce Grubb, 88, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022.



Mrs. Grubb was born to the late Charlie Shields and Mrs. Janie Owens Shields. Carolyn took great pride working in retail for over 30 years, her expertise was in jewelry. Mrs. Grubb loved nature and the outdoors, mountains and creeks being her favorite scenery. She also enjoyed bird watching and tending to her flower gardens. Carolyn never met a stranger, she loved to laugh and to make others laugh as well. She had a mischievous side and liked to play practical jokes, a trait she inherited from her father.



In addition to her parents Mr. Charlie Shields and Mrs. Janie Shields she is preceded in death by her husband William M. Grubb.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters; Rachel James and Janet Phillips; grandson, Morgan James; granddaughter, Audrey Cook.



The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers for the special care they gave to Mrs. Carolyn.



A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.



In lieu of flowers the family ask that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
