Carole Schotte Hicks

Carole Lillian Schotte Hicks, 87, of Statesville died Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

She was born in Union, New Jersey on February 1, 1934 to the late Mathias Charles Schotte and Lillian Loscoe Schotte. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Schotte.

Carole was a RN and had worked in Operating/Recovery at Davis Regional Medical Center for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Wesley Memorial UMC and had been very active in the church. Carole loved the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, watching the birds, and going to the beach. She was a member of the Outdoors Club and Civitans. She also loved animals.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, John Hicks (Diana), Douglas Hicks (Melanie), two daughters, Carole A. Hicks, Debbie Lynn Warren (Chris), two grandchildren, Dallas and Devin, a sister-in-law, Rose and her three children, Susan, Stuart and Douglas, and numerous other family members and friends.

There are no formal services planned at this time.
