Carl David Miller

Mr. Carl David Miller, 99, of Statesville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Autumn Care of Statesville. Born in Iredell County on October 2, 1917, he was a son of the late David Arthur Miller and Addie Mae Stewart Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted step mother, Roxie Albright Miller, his wife, Edith White Miller, and a step daughter, Martha Sue Lackey. Mr. Miller was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from J. P. Stevens. He served during World War II in the U. S. Army. He is survived by a son, Jerry Miller (Nora), grandsons: Jerry Miller, Jr. (Danyel), Todd, Lonnie and Dale Payne, granddaughters : Wendy Deal (Brad) and Lynn Williams along with 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Holland and Rev. Curtis White officiating. The family will speak with friends for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with full military rites presented by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail.
